Just to give you a taste of what life is like right now with Luke...I'm trying to get him to stand/hold/be near this "2" picture for his upcoming Birthday invite. Easier said than done. Now whenever he sees the "2", he pretty much starts crying. What's so hard about this you ask? Who knows...that's why it's the "terrible 2's"!!

Chi-town!!
Mega fun weekend! My good friend from Chicago turned 30 this weekend and I made a trip out there to surprise her with a girl weekend! We had so much fun! We had lunch on the 95th floor of the John Hancock building at the Signature Inn...beautiful! We did some shopping on the fun Michigan Ave and then headed to Elizabeth Arden for a manicure! Fun! We loved walking down the red carpet and sitting on this comfy red sofa! We were smiling the entire time!

Luke LOVES the outside
If Luke could have his way, we would spend every waking moment outside. This Monday in the morning, we went to the park and played 45 minutes on the playscape going down slides, climbing stairs and running everywhere! I was exhausted but Luke was having a blast! He LOVES everything about the outside--especially walking everywhere and his second favorite is running with me in the jogging stroller.
Easter
We visited family in Indy over Easter weekend. It was our first time in Indy since Christmas, so the visit was much needed! Luke did great in the car (as you can see below). We were a little nervous since his opinion is becoming more evident every day. We saw all of our family which was awesome! What a great weekend.

Snow in March...Ick
Okay, so I soooo don't think snow is pretty in March. When March comes around, I want leaves on the trees and Easter to get here fast! Anyways, in good 'ol Michigan, we got 3 inches of snow this week. I was first feeling really bummed about it but then thought of something positive--Grandma Betsy sent Luke a really nice snow suit for V-day that he has not worn yet! AND I did not have any pictures of Luke in the snow yet this year...so...after his afternoon nap, I bundled him up and we walked all around the neighborhood. We had a blast! I loved his rosy cheeks and he enjoyed the fresh air! I think he tried to find every puddle he could to splash! All boy!
February Pictures
Sorry these are so late!! We've been laying low this winter trying to stay warm. Luke is getting so big and talking up a storm! He enjoys playing with cars and running his baby walkers into the wall as hard as he can. He wakes up every morning with a huge smile on his face ready for the day! He's such a joy!
Luke loves to point to you and have you point back! He's a ham!
This is a doggie (as Luke says "goggie) that Grandma Brunelle sent Luke for V-day! He gives it a huge hug every day! Thanks Grandma!
Here Luke is sitting on Grandma Betsy's V-day gift!! He was so excited to open it!
Luke having fun with his gifts...he would not slow down for me to get a picture! The story of my life right now!
Daddy is so silly! Luke was laughing so hard when Jeremy would put Luke's Superbowl hat given to him by his G-ma Betsy for V-day.

Holiday Break.
Our holiday break was so awesome. We were able to see so much of our family and so many friends...several we only get to see once a year. Almost every night we had dinner with some great friends!!
These pics came out in the wrong order...this is our car packed for back to Michgan!! Can you believe it?? I'm an excellent car packer so I made it happen :). We were so full because the day after Christmas we bought a very nice Christmas tree for next year taking advantage of the mega-sale after Christmas!
Luke got to see Christopher...a high school friend of mine's little boy. He is almost to the date 30 days younger than Luke...they are the same height so it was fun to see them interact.
Cute boys!
Another picture of the car...poor Luke! Thankfully, he's not claustrophobic!Christmas Round 3!!
Christmas Day (Round 3) was spent at my parents. Luke had such a blast. He was a little tired of this whole present thing (I don't think we even opened all of his) but fun none the less.
"Are they still opening presents!?!?!"
Doesn't my mom do a great job with her tree. I'm not sure why this picture flipped but o'well. Still love it!
Here Luke is opening up a present from his Uncle Michael and Aunt Audra. They got him a Little People set as well without even knowing that was the theme!!Christmas Round 2!!
Round 2 was with Jeremy's mom for Christmas Eve/Christmas Morning. She does such an awesome job decorating her place! We had so much fun...Betsy made us a wonderful dinner and while eating cookies and fudge, we watched A Wonderful Life (my first time) after Luke went to bed. It was such a fun night!
Christmas Round 1!!!

We had such a blast at Christmas this year! Luke was so much fun and seeing all of our family was awesome! We had 3 (count them 3) Christmas celebrations...this is round 1 with Jeremy's dad. Luke was not too into opening presents this year but he liked what came out of the present.
Luke with his Grandpa

Little People Villages was the theme this year. Luke received several pieces that he loves playing with...it's a great toy that he'll be able to grow into!

Luke with a new set of blocks!!! Life cannot get better!

What a day....
These are one of those days you just want to end...and it's only noon! It began HORRIBLY...I won't go into details but I took some Nyquil last night since I was no feeling well and overslept for a really important appointment. If you know me at all...I HATE irresponsibility and this was a very humbling experience.
My cold just got worse this morning where I had to just lay down while Luke played. I cancelled a fun playdate we were going to have which was a bummer. Luke played sooooo well by himself and would periodically come over and give me hug. He knew mommy was not feeling good.
I had my eyes shut for awhile on the couch and did not hear Luke moving around. I opened my eyes and found him asleep right next to me on the floor!!! He has NEVER EVER fell asleep like this. I think he knew I was so tired and he was tired so he thought this was the best option. See cute pics below.

Okay...these pics are a little out of order but this is Luke's reaction after what happened in th last picture. He was very perplexed. Do you see that strange, dark colored dot above his lip? That's a crusty that he will not let me wipe off. I'm picking my battles today and this is not one of them.
View from upstairs.
Luke only slept for about 30 minutes on the floor. We giggled when he awoke. He loves to go into the cuppards and we have had no problems with him ruining things until today. He took my favorite pyrex glass measuring cup and dropped it on the floor. I am still picking up the pieces. This of course scared him and he watched while I cleaned it up.
Wow...this enough action for me today!! Let's hope this afternoon is quiet :)

Decorating Christmas Cookies
We had so much fun tonight decorating Christmas cookies as a family. We were so interested to see what Luke would do. He's going to a Cookie Decorating Party on Monday so I wanted to give him a little practice. Yeah, he's definitely more interested in the eating part than the decorating part. I wonder where he gets that from???
Yep...this is my hubbie! I think he enjoyed the cookie decorating more than Luke!
Luke did not waste any time eating his first cookie!
Luke gettins messy. It was very interesting...he liked the cookie plain, the icing by itself but he did not like icing on the cookie. I'm not sure why...I think he has an expectation of how the cookie should taste and the icing messes that up. I'm probably analyzing this way too much...but o'well
Before we began...We decided to strip Luke down incase he made a huge mess.
Jeremy made him and I one cookie each to enjoy. His is sooooo gross. He ate the entire thing.
